Death by hitting sunken Galleon. This is a side-scrolling game. You are controlling a submarine. It can either rise or sink at small angles, or fire a torpedo upward. Your goal is to sink as many enemy ships before being sunk, while avoiding mines and depth charges. The game starts out, your submarine in the center of the screen. A freighter appears on the screen. As the distance closes, you wait for the opportune moment to launch your torpedo at it. Plooie! Direct hit! You continue sinking these freighters, thinking the game is easy. But what's this? An underwater mine is rushing at you! No problem, you change angle, and the mine misses you. The mines are starting to come by way more frequently. You can no longer leave your submarine in the same spot to hit the freighters, as the mines are always peculiarly at the same height as your sub. As the game progresses, you notice a sunken galleon at the bottom. Better not hit that! You are now pulling crazy Yvans left and right, dodging the mines while shooting at the freighters. Now as many as two mines are appearing on the screen. When you think it can't be harder, a destroyer passes by, and drops a depth charge. You hit and sink the destroyer, and you narrowly miss the depth charge. This as as far as the game goes. You are eventually destroyed, and are given a free game for your high score and valor.
